The Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce exists to enhance the economic well-being of the businesses in the communities it serves. Venus Pest Company is a member of the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce. Scott Lingren is chairman of the Chamber Ambassador Committee. This committee acts as official representative of the Chamber at special events and ribbon cutting events and works to enhance the membership of the Chamber.
Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Dr. Scott Lingren is a member of the Aggieland Rotary Club.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses. The mission of Keep Brazos Beautiful is to empower and educate local citizens on how to take greater responsibility for litter control, recycling, waste management and all forms of beautification; thereby enhancing the appearance and waste handling practices of our communities.
